At St. George we believe that a holistic education is not only based on academic studies but also on providing positive and enriching experiences that develop them as people and bring out the best in them.
In addition to academic studies, our goal is that in the school treasure moments and relationships that make them become confident young people and complete in all its facets.
Our students participate in and organise various charity events throughout the year and raise funds for local and international charities. In addition, during their school life they take trips related to the content they see in class, trips and exchanges.
To develop the creative and emotional aspects of a child’s development, we offer many different opportunities. Public speaking and the performing arts, for example, develop self-esteem, confidence, teamwork and have a very positive impact on academic studies.
We love to see the pride in children’s faces when they perform in the areas where they are good! We believe it is our responsibility to match the ability and talent of each student and give them the opportunity to excel at it.
Solidarity
At St. George we want students to be aware of their responsibility to others in the world and to understand how, even as children, they can help make a difference in other people’s lives.
All children are born with an innate sense of charity and compassion, but just as we give our children the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge, we must also give them the opportunity to exercise their “charitable muscles”, so that they are truly generous in giving.
We support a number of foundations and organizations throughout the year, such as Save the Children with “The Christmas jumper Day” and the Red Cross new Christmas gift collection campaign.
We also support For a Smile, a charity in Africa. The children during the year, organize different events, bake sales, sponsored races … to raise money for this charity that has schools in Senegal.
In addition, St. George Barcelona is a UNICEF Children’s Friendly School. Thanks to the commitment of these Friendly Schools, thousands of children have guaranteed their fundamental rights in extremely complicated situations.
