Much of the success of the school is based on the support it offers to each student in a personalised way because each one is unique and has a different way of being and learning.
We define aspirational targets for progress and celebrate what pupils know, understand and can do. The main link between home and school are the class or form teachers. They provide essential support, keep a close eye on academic progress and deal with any personal, social or academic issues. Within the school we monitor all children’s progress carefully and deal with issues as quickly and effectively as possible. The school needs to maintain close relationships with parents if pupils are to make good progress, so we encourage frequent contact between parents and teachers. We provide regular reports and arrange parental consultations throughout the year. During the year we organise parent presentations to explain curricular matters or to help prepare for key decisions, for example, subject choices or university entry.
