Teaching values to our students is more important today than ever. As educators and parents, we are students’ greatest influence and it is our responsibility to teach them to be people with values so that they can grow up to be loving, confident, and respectful adults.
In Secondary, students follow the British National Curriculum while continuing with the compulsory subjects of Spanish and Catalan Language and Literature, Geography and History. Secondary school is divided into two cycles, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The subjects are taught by teachers specialised in each subject.
In Key Stage 3 – Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 (from 11 to 14 years old), students continue with the same subjects from the curriculum that constitutes the basis on which to build their future academic studies. In Year 7, equivalent to Year 6 of Primary, we introduce French as a foreign language.
In Key Stage 4 – Year 10 and Year 11 (from 14 to 16) pupils are prepared for IGCSE (International General Certi cate of Secondary Education).
During this stage, they choose to study a selection of complementary (optional) subjects. A wide variety of options are offered including Business Studies, Art and Design, Information Communication Technology (ICT) or Computing, Physical Education, History, Geography, etc. In addition, the PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) program is extended.
In Secondary, we help our students to take responsibility for their studies, to be disciplined with their work and to make contributions to the community. We create an environment in which the student can develop as a student and as a person.
We make visits with each family previously arranged. Ask for information and come and meet us.
