Students, staff and parents participate in “St. George Multicultural Day”
One of our favourite days during the year is our “Multicultural Day”. We celebrate this event every year and really looking forward to it. The diversity in our school is part of the normality in the day to day of our students. Children interact and are raised in an international environment, where a wealth of differents cultures from 40 different nationalities that all together make up our St. George community. Children learn from their friends about the different cultures, traditions and customs of their places of birth. Respect and tolerance is key in the world around us and our children put it into practice from their first day at school.
During our multicultural day, children organise presentations about their country, wear traditional costumes and carry out performances representative of their place of origin. What would be a better way to end the day, than having a gastronomic tour in our “Multicultural Food Fair”? Parents delight us with recipes and typical dishes of their countries, so we travel around the world in a culinary style too!
