About us

St. George is a private British school, located in the upper area of Barcelona, which teaches since the age of two. Its classrooms include students of more than 45 different nationalities who, from day one, learn English with native teachers. For St. George the most important thing is to make the most of each student’s potential and to seek excellence so that they have all the tools that will allow them to stand out in their personal and professional lives.

Letter from the director of the centre

Dear parents,

I want to give you a warm welcome to St. George Barcelona. I hope this website will help you understand why our teaching and learning environment is so special and how we have achieved a strong reputation both academically and in creativity and theatre production, as well as the importance of the social and emotional development of each of the children in our school.

The environment and ethics of the school are based mainly on five values; responsibility, respect, kindness, justice and giving the best of oneself. Children are instilled with these values from the very first moment they enter our school. We want them to understand that life is not based solely on rules, but on what they believe is right or wrong in the world in which we live. Our goal is that every child leaves school with a high academic level where they have developed their full potential and become a young person with great emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills and able to think and solve problems for themselves.

The happiness of our children is vital if we want them to do their best. We put all our passion and effort into making sure that children are happy, happy and feel safe at school. During the year we organize different activities to develop and increase their confidence and self-esteem. These events serve as a platform for children to showcase talents and strengths that might not be so obvious in the classroom, such as the talent contest, speech competition, painting contests, musical activities and sports competitions. Primary school children hold assemblies, where they perform in front of their parents and school children. All the children are involved in one of the great productions of the school in front of the parents.

The students and all the staff are very proud of the school. We are convinced that we offer the best care and the best and most personalized education that can be given to a child. We consider the school as one big family, where each one has certain roles, we all respect each other and we want the best for everyone. As a team, we are focused on constantly building a school of excellence, where every child is motivated and challenged, where learning is exciting and fun and where everyone is loved and educated so that everyone achieves their best.

We invite you to come and see the school and discover for yourselves what we can offer your children during the most important years of their lives.
