Each summer during August, we receive the examination results for iGCSEs and the IB Diploma. We have been absolutely delighted with our first IB Diploma examination results.
Here are the headlines from these results:
- 100% of students achieved 24 points or more in the IBDP
- Highest score: 43/45
- Average points scored: 33.61 (Global Average: 30.24)
- Students achieving 35 to 39 points: 35% (Global Average: 19.84%)
- Students achieving 40 to 45 points: 15% (Global Average: 8.55%)
- 14.28% of students achieved 3 points in the Core (Global Average: 9.49%)
- 67% of students achieved 2 points in the Core (Global Average: 41%)
All year 13 students were accepted into Universities, with students choosing to study in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Holland, France and the USA.
My personal congratulations go to these students who worked so hard for these outstanding results and to our excellent team of teachers who are so committed to each individual student’s success and achievements.
In GCSE gradings, the highest grade possible is a 9. We are therefore also very proud of our GCSE results:
- 100% of students achieved 4 or more IGCSEs at grade 9 – 4
- 86% of students achieved 5 or more IGCSEs at grade 9 – 4
- 95% of IGCSEs pass rate
- 53% of IGCSE grades were a grade 9 – 7
- 100% of students achieved a 5 or above in English Literature and English Language
- 100% of students pass rate in Science
- 96% of students pass rate in Mathematics
- On average, students achieved 1.5 grades higher than their expected target grades
Again, many congratulations to our students! These students will now be starting the last part of their St George journey in our sixth form and taking the IB Diploma. I wish them all the best as they continue this success over the next two years.
